About
As a natural problem solver with a financial mindset, I have consistently leveraged my strategic thinking, creativity, and attention to detail to drive solutions and results. Whether managing my fraternity's finances or establishing pricing strategies for my landscaping business, I thrive on delivering outstanding outcomes.
During the pandemic, I launched a landscaping venture to make money and bolster my knowledge of running and operating a business. My commitment to quality and ability to develop relationships with customers fostered high customer satisfaction and substantial business growth through numerous client referrals. This success allowed me to focus more on strategic financial management, client expansion, and team leadership, entrusting operational tasks to a growing staff.
My journey at UW Madison further deepened my interest in finance, real estate, and entrepreneurship. As treasurer and vice president of my fraternity, I was able to gain more leadership and decision making experience when faced with challenging problems. With active participation in the UW Capital Management and Real Estate clubs, I gained significant exposure to real estate valuation and financial modeling.
Internships at The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) in both the branch and corporate settings have been pivotal to my learning. One of my projects included a strategic partnership proposal during a capstone competition. This proposal led to a multi-year partnership between RBC and the Major League of Soccer (MLS) and highlights my ability to find innovative solutions to unique problems.
As I finish up my senior year, my role as co-founder and CEO at SideShift, a platform connecting college students with small businesses for part-time work opportunities, has been a transformative entrepreneurial experience. This role has not only honed my leadership skills but has also provided hands-on experience of building a start-up from ground-zero. At SideShift, I have navigated the challenges of developing a business model, securing funding, and managing a diverse team. This endeavor underscores my passion for creating solutions that benefit both individuals and the broader community.
With each experience, I grow more adept at strategic decision-making and continue to seek innovative solutions to complex problems. As I approach the culmination of my academic and early professional journey, I am eager to explore new challenges where I can continue to apply and expand my problem solving capabilities and leadership skills.
